The air fryer is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets because you can make meals that are easy, quick, and a lot healthier than if you are deep frying food.
You don’t need any extra oil, and the air fryer helps cook foods evenly. It gives your recipes that delicious, slightly crispy outside without the oils and fats and calories from deep-frying foods.
How does the Air Fryer work?
The air fryer works by using a heating element and a circulating fan. This fan helps to evenly circulate the hot air all around the food and cooks your recipes in a delicious, and even way.
One important thing to note as that when placing foods in the air fryer, you do want to make sure most items are in a single layer and have a little space between them so that they can cook evenly.
Do all air fryers work the same?
All air fryers work with the same basic concept, but not all air fryers work the same. Some air fryers are baskets, some are trays, some have a rotisserie, and some are even built into the new microwaves and stoves.
When using any of these recipes, know that you will always want to use the recipe as a guide. Your brand of air fryer may cook a little faster, or even a little slower.
It’s always good to run a test batch before cooking an entire dish in the air fryer so you will know if you need to adjust the cooking time for your specific brand of air fryer.
