What you need to make Filet Mignon in Air Fryer
I use my Cosori Air Fryer to make these filets. Because we like to keep steak simple, as it should be, we only use a few ingredients. Besides the air fryer, the other ingredients you will need are:

- Two filet mignon, each piece of meat, 4 to 6 oz. each
- Olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: Blue Cheese Butter, Garlic Herb Butter, or Garlic Butter.
Of course, a delicious topping to the perfect steak is a small pat of blue cheese butter. To make your own, combine blue cheese crumbles with about ¼ cup of melted unsalted butter. Then, top your cooked steak with a small scoop.

FAQ's
HOW CAN I TELL IF MY STEAK IS COOKED PROPERLY IN THE AIR FRYER?
According to the FDA, when cooking steak, the proper temperatures for steak doneness, are:
- Rare- 125 degrees F
- Medium Rare- 135 degrees F
- Medium- 145 degrees F
- Medium Well- 155 degrees F
- Well Done- 160 degrees F
Because the surest and safest way to determine doneness, is to confirm internal temperature, I highly recommend you use a meat thermometer.
My cooking time of 6 minutes on each side was perfect for a medium to medium well doneness.
What is considered a serving of steak?
Although each of my filets was about 6 ounces steak, the recommended serving is 3 ounces.
Why is Filet considered one of the best beef cuts?
Ribeye and Filet are the best cuts of steak. The filet comes from the part of the cow that doesn't get used often, so it's not tough. Which is why a really good filet can be cut with a fork.
What is the best doneness for air fryer filet mignon?
Medium Filet Mignon to Medium Rare are the suggested best ways to this steak.
What else can I use to season the steak?
We like to keep dinner simple, which is why we only season steaks with salt and pepper, and then top with blue cheese butter. However, for extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes, pressed clove garlic, garlic salt, garlic powder, or with your favorite steak seasoning.
Can I wrap my filets with bacon?
Yes. Wrap slices of bacon around each filet, just secure with a toothpick before air frying. Then cook steak to your liking.
