PUMPKIN SPICE PECANS IN AIR FRYER

If you love pumpkin spice flavor as much as we do, this recipe makes a wonderful fall treat for all to enjoy. Because fall is the perfect time of year for warm spices, these pumpkin spice pecans will be a favorite!

Ingredients:

  • Pecans– Like Fisher Nuts
  • brown sugar
  • honey
  • butter-unsalted
  • vanilla
  • pumpkin pie spice– you can make your own with this pumpkin spice recipe
  • ground cinnamon
  • sea salt- or kosher salt

Optional Flavors: Swap honey for maple syrup, and add a pinch of nutmeg or ground cloves for more flavor. Bold flavors like a pinch of cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce can also give the pecans an extra kick.

HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN SPICE PECANS: 

  1. Measure two cups of pecans into a medium size bowl.

  2. Add brown sugar, honey, melted butter, vanilla, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and salt into the mixing bowl. Stir together until fully combined.

  3. Toss pecans with mixture until they are well coated. Place pecans in a single layer into your lined air fryer basket with parchment paper or spray basket with non stick cooking spray.

  4. Air fry at 320 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, shaking basket halfway through the cook time.

  5. When they are finished cooking place them on a baking sheet until they are dry and cooled.

I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages cook time may need to be adjusted a couple of minutes.

What other dishes can I make with Air Fryer Pumpkin Spice Pecans?

Because pecans are so versatile, this golden-brown tasty treat is a perfect ice cream or yogurt topping. You can mix with air fryer pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries. You can also chop them and sprinkle over Air Fryer Pumpkin Spice donut Holes or warm oatmeal or mixed with plain cream cheese spread over a warm pumpkin pie bagel.

What other ways can I use pecans?

How to store leftover pumpkin spice pecans?

Place pecans in airtight container or storage bag lined with a paper towel (prevents drying out). When freezing them wrap in plastic wrap or cling wrap (helps prevent freezer burn) first before placing them in an airtight container for storage or in a freezer storage bag for up to 2 months.

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

Notes

Cooking Tips: 
The pecans have a stronger pumpkin spice flavor after sitting for 12-24 hours.
If you do not have a piece of parchment paper you can spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray or olive oil spray.
