WHY THIS WORKS
These delicious biscuits are just one frozen food you can pop in the air fryer for a perfect side. They can also be made into a breakfast sandwich with air fryer bacon, air fryer hash browns, or topped with sausage gravy for a meal.
INGREDIENTS
4-6 frozen biscuits- I use Pillsbury Grands frozen biscuits
Optional Toppings- Top your biscuits with butter, apple butter, cinnamon butter, jam, honey, gravy, or just eat plain!
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray, or lightly brush with olive oil.
STEP 2
Place the biscuits in air fryer basket, in a single layer without stacking or overlapping, and leaving enough room in between the biscuits for them to rise as they cook.
STEP 3
Air fry frozen biscuits at 340 degrees F for 10 minutes.
STEP 4
Turn biscuits over and air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until biscuits are golden brown and cooked all the way through. Remove from air fryer with tongs or spatula and serve while warm.
EXPERT TIPS
Frozen biscuits will fluff up and turn golden in the air fryer, so they need their space! Do not overcrowd or stack the biscuits in the air fryer basket or oven. It's best to leave enough space so they aren't touching.
Flip the biscuits for the last few minutes, to ensure both sides are cooked and then tops don't burn. If your biscuits look doughy, add 2-3 extra minutes to cooking time.
I make these in a Cosori Air Fryer Oven. Not all brands of air fryers have the same wattage so depending on your air fryer model, the first time you make these in your air fryer, check the biscuits a few minutes early.
Biscuits are a delicious side dish to almost any meal! We love them with Air Fryer Stuffed Chicken, Air Fryer Steak, or Air Fryer Pork Chops. They are also great for the holidays with Air Fryer Whole Chicken or Air Fryer Ham. They are so versatile, they don't just have to be a dinner roll! You can serve them for a simple breakfast with Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage Links.
STORAGE AND REHEATING
When making frozen biscuits in air fryer, you don't have to cook the entire bag. Once you have cooked the biscuits you need, if you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container or sealed storage bag at room temperature, for 5-7 days.
You can also refreeze the cooked biscuits for 2-3 months. Keep uncooked frozen biscuits in the freezer until ready to air fry.
If reheating leftover biscuits at room temperature, you can microwave them for 30-45 seconds, or to warm biscuits in the air fryer, place them in the basket of air fryer, and air fry at 350 degrees F for one or two minutes, until warm.
FAQ's
You don't need to thaw the biscuits. Just place the frozen biscuits right into the air fryer, and they will puff up and cook to a golden brown color when they are done. Raw biscuits will have soft biscuit dough that can fall through the basket without a parchment sheet, and will have different cook times.
Because they are frozen, the dough doesn't fall through the holes in the basket. But to be safe, and prevent sticking, I sprayed the basket with a nonstick spray, such as an olive oil spray, that is safe for the air fryer.
You can also use these air fryer parchment paper liners to prevent sticking, and keep clean up easy!
