Ingredients You Need to Make Garlic Bread in Air Fryer

Ingredients to make garlic bread, bread, butter, garlic, parsley flakes
  • Bread- I use half a loaf of French bread. You want a firm and slightly crusty bread, so you can also use a French Baguette, Italian bread, or thicker bread for a Texas Toast Garlic Bread
  • Butter-Softened butter is much easier to spread. Use salted butter or unsalted butter.
  • Garlic Cloves- Fresh garlic makes the best garlic toast, but garlic powder can also be used
  • Parsley Flakes-dried or fresh parsley

How to Make Buttery Garlic Bread in Air Fryer

STEP 1. Slice a half of a loaf of French bread or a baguette lengthwise. Then cut bread into evenly sized slices. If you are going to use the entire loaf, work in batches as they fit in your air fryer basket.

STEP 2. To make the garlic butter, use a small bowl, combine butter, minced garlic, and parsley flakes. Stir together to evenly distribute the ingredients into the butter.

Air Fryer Garlic Bread Tips:

  • Make it cheesy: For a cheesy garlic bread, you can use any combinations of cheeses. Our favorites are grated parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, or mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle cheese on top of bread after toasting, and then return to air fryer additional cook time of 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Use frozen garlic bread: If using frozen bread, add 1-2 minutes to cook time. I use a Cosori 5.8 Quart Air Fryer to make this recipe. Cooking times may vary depending on size and wattage of air fryer.

Variations

  • Add extra seasonings: For a little extra flavor, sprinkle a little salt and pepper, ranch seasoning, or Italian seasoning.
  • Spicy Garlic Bread: If you want your bread to be a little spicy, sprinkle a pinch of ground black pepper, chili powder, or red pepper flakes.

FAQS

What goes well with Garlic Bread?

This garlic bread is a perfect side dish to a comforting bowl of soup, paired with your favorite meal, or alone as a quick snack.

What bread is best to use for Garlic Bread?

That is a personal preference to thickness, and taste. For a crispy garlic bread, I suggest using fresh bread, like a French Loaf, Baguette, or Ciabatta Bread.

Do I need to brush the basket with olive oil?

I only use olive oil if something will stick to the basket. This garlic bread did not stick, but you can always add a light brushing of oil if you prefer.

How do I store leftover Garlic Bread?

This toast has the best flavor right after it’s been freshly made. For leftovers, keep bread sealed in an airtight container. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days. To reheat, place in the air fryer for 2-4 minutes, until warm and crispy.
