  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • mayonnaise
  • BBQ sauce
  • onions
  • lettuce

  • pickles
  • cheese- American cheese, cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, or even blue cheese are all yummy toppings.
  • avocado

TIPS FOR MAKING AIR FRYER FROZEN TURKEY BURGERS

When air frying frozen turkey burger patties, you can cook them directly from the freezer. If you do want to thaw them first, just decrease the cook time for about 3-8 minutes.

Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation and even cooking. Place the frozen patties in the air fryer in a single layer. If meat is covered, it won’t be able to properly cook.

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature to make sure it reaches 165 degrees. Cooking times may need to be adjusted until you reach this temperature. Over cooking can make dry burgers so watch the times and temperature.

HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE FROZEN TURKEY BURGERS

If you don’t want to buy store bought frozen patties, you can make your own! Start with lean ground turkey, then add your favorite seasonings. Shape them into patties, and freeze uncooked turkey burgers until you are ready to use them. I wrap mine individually, so I can just make one or two at a time.

VARIATIONS

If making your own turkey patties, before freezing them, add grated cheese, diced onions or jalapeno peppers to the turkey mixture for added flavor. Then shape into patties and freeze until ready to use.

Try different types of ground meat, such as chicken or pork, for variety. I also love these air fryer frozen salmon burgers.

Experiment with different bun options, such as whole wheat, brioche, or lettuce wraps, for a healthier twist.

Serve with these air fryer French fries, or air fryer sweet potato fries. Both are perfect with these burgers.

STORING AND REHEATING

If you have leftover turkey burgers, let them cool. Then store them in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

To reheat, return them to the air fryer and air fry for 2-3 minutes until they are warmed through.
