Air Fryer Country Style Ribs are one of my new favorite ways to make ribs! Skip the oven and the grill with this quick and easy recipe that works perfectly every time.

I love to use my air fryer, especially in the summer months.
We typically love to grill out ribs, but with the heat index over 100, no one wants to be outside working over a grill that’s throwing off even MORE heat.
Not only that but who wants to turn the oven on in that heat? Not me!
Enter my favorite household appliance, the Air Fryer! It makes this ribs recipe perfect every single time we make it.
If you’re looking for an awesome summertime recipe that doesn’t require too much time, attention, or heat – we’ve got you covered!
This is a family favorite and easy air fryer recipe you’ll want to make over and over.
Ingredients Needed:
- 10 country style ribs
- favorite bbq sauce
- ground black pepper
- garlic powder
- smoked paprika
Country Style Ribs in the Air Fryer
Preheat the Air Fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray such as olive oil or avocado oil.
Rinse and pat the ribs until dry. Add all of the seasonings to small bowl and mix well. Rub the seasonings onto the ribs.
Place the country pork ribs into a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
Open the basket and brush the sides and tops of the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the air fryer and serve with your favorite side dishes.
TIP: This recipe was made using a Cosori 1700 watt 5.8 qt basket style air fryer. All air fryers can cook differently. It’s always best to test a small batch before cooking the entire meal to decide if our air fryer requires more or less time.
FAQs:
What temperature should the country style ribs be at to be fully cooked?
According to the FDA, pork is cooked thoroughly when the internal temperature has reached 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a meat thermometer to check the thickest part of the meat to ensure doneness.
How do I store leftover country style ribs?
If you have leftover country-style ribs, place them into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, allow the ribs to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before reheating them in the air fryer at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.

I used my own rub but cooking in the air fryer was a wonderful idea. The timing was perfect, nice and tender and able to get the bbq sauce caramelized in spots. The family is asking for a repeat,so that’s a hit.
That’s awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. I love it when the BBQ sauce caramelizes. It’s the best ๐
Initially was going to cook my country style ribs the same way I cook my regular pork ribs/baby backs in my Ninja Foodi until I read they could be tough. Found this recipe it was easy and you used a Ninja I cooked a min or two less because my ribs were smaller but we loved how the came out. My mom is having dental work done so she can’t eat tough foods, she too thought they were great and had no problems eating them. Thanks for the recipe.
Thank you for the feedback! So glad you enjoyed them!
Thank you for posting your “tweaks” using a Ninja. (That’s what I have) & thank you Jen for posting the original recipe!
I love country ribs, summer or winter. But who wants to stand outside and grill when itโs 10 degrees! Iโm so glad to find a delicious recipe for ribs that I can make any time. One suggestion: donโt rinse meat. Food safety guidelines recommend not rinsing because it can cause cross-contamination in your kitchen; the running water splashes bacteria onto other surfaces. Itโs more sanitary to pat it dry without rinsing. Cooking will kill any bacteria on the surface of the meat
Wow! Unwrapped my new Instant Pot air fryer lid, read the directions, assembled it, found this recipe and about 1/2 hr later was eating my first air fryer dish โ delicious tender and juicy boneless ribs!! Used the recipe for timing and process with my own rub and sauce. Totally miraculous! Now to hang around this site and see whatโs for dessertโฆ
Thank you! So glad you liked them!
I made this as written, and it was delicious. My country-style ribs were boneless and not too huge. They were perfectly cooked at the specified time.
I’m so glad you liked them! Thank you for sharing!
I made these country style bone in pork ribs tonight in my PowerXL air fryer.
I seasoned them the way I like and refrigerated them overnight in a ziploc bag, 15 mins per side @ 380ยฐ they turned out perfect.
what is theproper cooking for boneless pork ribs
Hi Joan. The safe internal temp for ribs is 145 degrees F. Although it’s ok if it goes a little higher. Hope that helps!
This was a delicious and easy recipe to follow and tweak the way you like your ribs. I just sprinkled my seasoning on both sides, preheated my 4qt Ninja at its preset 375 degrees, sprayed the bottom and set 2 ribs at a time to cook. I first cooked for 20 minutes, but that was too long. Second batch 18 min, third batch did for 15 min, brushed on bbq sauce and cooked additional 3 minutes. Both dry or with bbq sauce were delicious and juicy!
Thank you! So glad you liked them!
Maybe because you made 3 batches, the “oven” kept getting warmer and warmer and warmer. If that was what was happening, it would decrease the cook time.
Flavor was good but ribs were tough. How do I get them super tender?
What brand of air fryer do you use? All air fryers cook a tad differently. This recipe was made using a Cosori 5.8 qt basket style air fryer. If you use a different brand, you will need to adjust the cooking time for your specific brand.
Sounds good and easy am going to try it tonight. I have the Instant Vortex.
Let us know how you liked them. It is a super easy recipe!
Tried this recipe last night and it was a winner. My family loved it, even my son who is very picky when it comes to food, This recipe is so easy. I will definitely make this again.
