How to make Air Fryer Breadsticks

These breadsticks are so easy to make, in just a few simple steps.

  1. To begin, open can of refrigerated dough and roll into a rectangle shape. Rolled out dough before being cut into strips for breadsticks

  2. In a small bowl, combine the seasoning with the sour cream, and stir together to combine them. Bowl of sour cream and ranch seasoning mixed together on a white marble table

  3. Spoon the mixture on top of the rectangle, and spread evenly, covering the entire surface.Rolled out dough coated with sour cream and ranch seasoning

  4. Cut the dough into strips of twelve equal-sized pieces, then fold each strip in half, and twist each piece, pinching the ends of each breadstick. Rolled out dough cut into strips with a pizza cutter

  5. As you twist each piece, they will stretch a little. Just keep them from going longer than the size of your basket or tray.Strips of sough being rolled into breadsticks and twisted

  6. Place the breadsticks in air fryer basket, lined with parchment paper, or lightly sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. raw breadstick dough rolled and twisted in the air fryer basket

  7. Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, until the breadsticks are golden brown.Golden twisted breadsticks in the air fryer basket

I make these in my Cosori 5.8 quart air fryer. Because not all air fryer are the same, exact cooking time vary, and may need to be adjusted by 2-3 minutes.

FAQ’s

Do I need to serve sauce for dipping?

Not at all! These breadsticks are full of flavor on their own! Having your favorite dipping sauce on hand is just an extra option.

Can I make these without ranch seasoning?

You can use a little bit if Italian Seasoning, or Mexican Seasoning for different flavors. Or brush them with a bit of olive oil and parmesan cheese.

Can I use my own homemade dough?

Of course you can! I like to keep recipes on hand that are simple and fast, so canned pizza crust dough is an easier method.

I was able to air fry 6 in each batch of breadsticks. Allow room in the basket for them to expand without overlapping or stacking.
For cheesy breadsticks, you can sprinkle 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, or cheddar cheese into the sour cream mixture.
