  4. Add the sweet potato chips to the basket of the air fryer. Overlapping slightly is ok.

  5. Air fry sweet potato chips at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-9 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chips. Thinner chips will need less time than thicker chips.

  6. Carefully remove from the air fryer and allow to cool and crisp slightly before serving.

NOTE: This recipe was made in the basket-style Cosori air fryer. If you are using a different air fryer, you may need to adjust the time and temperature slightly as all air fryers cook differently.

FAQs

How long can I store leftover air-fried sweet potato chips?

Store any remaining sweet potato chips in an air tight container for up to 3 days.

What additional seasonings can I use on sweet potato chips?

I love the basic seasonings of salt, pepper, and cinnamon. However, you can spice things up with cumin, cayenne, or even make them sweet with a little brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.

How do I keep my sweet potato chips from becoming soggy?

If your air fried sweet potato chips are a little soggy, make sure you aren’t overcrowding them in the air fryer. It’s ok to overlap on the edges, but make sure you’re allowing the chips enough surface space to cook fully.

Do I need to soak the sweet potato chips before air frying?

No, you do not. Sweet potatoes do not have near as much starch as regular potatoes, so there is no need to soak them before cooking.
