FAQ’S

WHAT OTHER TYPES OF POTATO CAN I USE IN THIS RECIPE?

Other than the red potatoes you use to make this dish you can also use russet potatoes, yukon gold baby potatoes, blue potatoes, sweet potatoes or fingerling yellow potatoes. If they are a larger potato, it will require a bit more slicing to cut them into wedges and smaller ones may not have to be sliced at all.

HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER POTATOES?

Completely cool potato wedges before storing them. If you are going to refrigerate them place them in an airtight container or resealable storage bag in your refrigerator for 3-5 days. If you are going to freeze leftover potatoes place them in an airtight container or freezer storage bag for up to 6 months.

WHAT ARE OTHER DISHES CAN I MAKE WITH POTATOES?

Potatoes cooked any way are delicious in my opinion. Making crispy potato skins with a fresh salad, cheesy bacon potatoes along with a savory pork chop or ranch garlic mashed potatoes or a loaded baked potato with a juicy steak will all be mouthwatering. Making homemade soups such as a creamy potato soup, broccoli cheese potato soup or clam chowder will be hearty dinners during the winter months to savor.

WHAT CAN I MAKE IF I CUT POTATOES IN SMALLER PIECES?

Diced cubed potatoes will be perfect in a breakfast hash with roasted peppers and onions or with scrambled, shredded cheese and bacon inside a breakfast burrito. Bite-sized pieces are a great option to use in a cheesy potato casserole. Use sliced potatoes in a family potato gratin or scalloped potato recipe will be yummy.

This is an easy peasy side dish that goes well with any of your main dish recipes. It’s one of my favorite ways to whip up a delicious side dish in minutes.
