What you will need to make air fryer glazed chicken
Of course, most of you know that the Cosori 5.8 quart is my go-to appliance. I used the Cosori to make this recipe, but you can use any air fryer. You may need to adjust the time, depending on the wattage of your air fryer.
Because this chicken recipe is so simple, you will only need a few ingredients to make glazed chicken:
- 4 skinless chicken breasts about 6-8 ounces each
- ½ cup Italian Dressing
- ¼ cup peach or apricot preserves
I used boneless chicken breasts, although, you could also use other cuts of chicken. If you are looking for a delicious chicken thigh recipe, or just other chicken recipes, you will love our Air Fryer Chicken Thighs, and Blackened Chicken Temders posts.
How to make air fryer chicken
To make this recipe, you add the chicken breasts to a large Ziploc bag, or a shallow medium bowl. Coat the chicken with the Italian dressing. I prefer using a bag so I don't have to handle raw chicken, and when it's done marinating, I can just toss the bag.
If using a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, or place the Ziploc bag in the refrigerator and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, but preferably, a couple of hours. Italian dressing is the perfect sauce because it is made with just the right amount of seasonings.
Once the chicken is done marinating, remove them from the bag or bowl, and toss any remaining dressing that was used. Then, brush them with the preserves until they are coated on both sides. Next, place the chicken in the air fryer basket or tray, and cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8-10 minutes on each side.
Once the chicken is golden brown, brush again with another coating of the preserves, and return for an additional two minutes of cooking. Use a meat thermometer to confirm chicken has an internal temp of 165 degrees.

Keep unused chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can reheat the chicken at 380 degrees F. Three to four minutes is usually enough cooking time.
You can add a pinch of salt and black pepper for seasoning. You can also top with parley flakes, a sprinkle of brown sugar, or even sesame seeds.
Can I save the marinade and use again?
Because raw chicken has come in contact with Italian dressing, it is safer to just toss any additional marinade leftover in the bag or bowl.
Can I use frozen chicken thighs or breast to make this recipe?
If using frozen chicken, you will need to adjust the cook time by adding a few minutes. Also, keep in mind, the cook time will need to be adjusted based on the thickness of the cut.

I did not preheat my air fryer when making this recipe.
Do I need to coat the basket with olive oil?
This air fryer chicken did not stick to the basket. You can use air fryer parchment paper liners for easier clean up, but not necessary.
