I love eating baked pears, but now, making them in the air fryer, takes them to a whole new level. I especially like them at holiday family dinners. It is one of my family's favorite recipes.

I first started baking with puff pastry sheets about ten years ago. If you know me, you know I like to experiment with foods. While trying old favorite recipes, I found wrapping glazed pears and baking them in the air fryer, made them even easier.

What you need to make Air Fryer Honey Glazed Pears

You can use any fresh pears, pear halves or pear slices. But choose the type of pear wisely.  Bosc pears are delicious, and already have a little hint of cinnamon and nutmeg in it's flavor. The Anjou and Bartlett Pears, are also good choices to use for this recipe.

If you want to make this outside of pear season, feel free to use canned pears.

How to make Glazed Pears in the Air Fryer

To make pears, first, you will need to core pears, but leave the stem on the top of pear. Then, you will combine the melted butter, brown sugar, honey, and the cinnamon together. Brush the mixture onto each pear, until it is coated.

Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut it into strips about one inch in width. Starting at the top of each pear, wrap the puff pastry around the pear, until it if fully covered.

Brush the pears with another coating of the honey mixture and then place into the air fryer basket, lined with parchment paper.

Brushing the melted butter and brown sugar mixture on the pear after it's been wrapped in puff pastry.

Cook the pears in the air fryer basket at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8-10 minutes, until the puff pastry strips turn golden brown and are crispy. You can pin the pastry ends in place with toothpicks while they cook.

Once the pears are done cooking, remove the toothpicks before serving them. We love to eat them with vanilla ice cream, or whipping cream.

One medium pear has about 17 grams of sugar. If you are watching your sugar, cut the pear in half.

How do I cook these if I have a rack air fryer?

I made these in my Cosori 5.8 Quart Air Fryer basket. If you don't have an air fryer that has a basket, just place them on the rack on a rimmed baking sheet in your air fryer.
