We love to eat pineapple because it is so versatile. This recipe just takes our favorite fruit, and brings more flavor in, with the honey and BBQ sauce glaze.

Making this pineapple is so easy and fast. The air fryer cooks it in just minutes, and the pineapple comes out so juicy and soft.

What you need to make Honey BBQ Pineapple

I love making this pineapple in the air fryer. Not only is it a refreshing fruit side dish, there are only four ingredients needed to make this recipe.

To make this pineapple, I used my Instant Vortex Air Fryer. Besides an air fryer, you will need:

How to make Air Fryer Honey BBQ Pineapple

I like to make this recipe using a fresh Dole Pineapple. First trim the pineapple, and then cut it into bites. If you can’t get fresh pineapple, you can use a can of pineapple of chunks.

Once you have the pineapple prepared, you are going to prepare the glaze. Use a large bowl, and add the honey, BBQ sauce, and then chili powder. Stir them together, then mix in the pineapple and toss to coat each piece.

Once the pineapple is coated in the mixture, pour it into the air fryer basket. If your air fryer has racks, place the pineapple into a bowl or small sheet pan that will fit into your air fryer.

Air fry the pineapple at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes, tossing the pineapple halfway through the cooking process. If you want to brush a little more honey and BBQ sauce when you toss it, you can.

After cooking it in the air fryer, the pineapple will be soft and juicy. You can easily add the pineapple as a side dish to Air Fryer BBQ Wings or Air Fryer BBQ Ribs. I like to plate them on small skewers if I’m serving them as an appetizers, or party food. Either way, they are delicious!

ARE PINEAPPLES GOOD FOR YOU?

Pineapples are full of vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants. And even though they are sweet, they are actually pretty low in calories.

HOW DO YOU STORE PINEAPPLE?

Keep it covered and chilled for up to one week. Although our air fryer honey BBQ pineapple gets gobbled up right after we serve it.
