Golden pear wrapped in a layer of puff pastry strips. Served on a white plate with vanilla ice cream.

I love eating baked pears, but now, making them in the air fryer, takes them to a whole new level. I especially like them at holiday family dinners. It is one of my family’s favorite recipes.

I first started baking with puff pastry sheets about ten years ago. If you know me, you know I like to experiment with foods. While trying old favorite recipes, I found wrapping glazed pears and baking them in the air fryer, made them even easier.

Brushing the melted butter and brown sugar mixture on the pear after it's been wrapped in puff pastry.

Cook the pears in the air fryer basket at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8-10 minutes, until the puff pastry strips turn golden brown and are crispy. You can pin the pastry ends in place with toothpicks while they cook.

Once the pears are done cooking, remove the toothpicks before serving them. We love to eat them with vanilla ice cream, or whipping cream.
