Ingredients:
- ground chicken
- egg
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- finely chopped onion
- panko breadcrumbs
- minced fresh garlic cloves
- kosher salt
- ground black pepper
Optional Additional Flavors: Garlic powder, red pepper flakes, jerk seasoning, parmesan cheese, onion powder, curry powder, fresh chopped parsley or dill.
How to Make Chicken Burgers in the Air Fryer:
- Preheat air fryer to 365 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, egg, cheese, onion, panko crumbs, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix chicken mixture together with your hands until fully combined.
- Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into 5-inch diameter burgers.
- Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and place the chicken patties in air fryer in a single layer.
- Air fry the chicken burgers at 365 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through, depending on the thickness of the patties.
- Use a meat thermometer to confirm internal temperature of burger patties which should be a safe temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Allow chicken burgers to cool for a couple of minutes then carefully remove them from the basket.
- Serve while hot or let them continue to rest on a baking rack.
