How to Make Bacon Wrapped Chicken in the Air Fryer
Step 1
Preheat the Air Fryer to 400 degrees F. Prepare the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray or olive oil spray.
Step 2
Add the seasonings to a small bowl and set it aside.
Step 3
Take the clean and dry chicken breasts and rub both sides evenly with the seasoning rub.
Step 4
Wrap each chicken breast with 2 pieces of bacon, trying to keep the ends of the bacon underneath the chicken breast.
Step 5
Place the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in a single layer into the bottom of the prepared air fryer basket.
Step 6
Air Fry the chicken at 400 degrees Fahrenheit/200 degrees Celcius for 15 minutes, then turn down the temperature to 370 degrees F for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
NOTE: All air fryers can cook differently and at different powers. It's always a good idea to test out the recipe beforehand to check if you need to add more or less time to the recipe.
Tips
Use Thin Bacon Strips: Thin slices of bacon work best for wrapping around chicken pieces because they cook more evenly in the air fryer and crisp up nicely without overcooking the chicken.
Secure with Toothpicks: To prevent the bacon from unraveling during cooking, secure the ends of the bacon strips with toothpicks. Just make sure to remove them before serving.
Storage and Reheating
Store any leftover bacon wrapped chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Tp reheat, place the chicken in the air fryer and reheat at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-4 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through.
FAQs
There are so many great dishes that will pair well with bacon wrapped chicken. I would suggest serving with Air Fryer Baked Potatoes and BBQ Baked Beans.
It's generally not recommended to use frozen chicken for this recipe. Thaw the chicken completely in the refrigerator before wrapping it in bacon and cooking it in the air fryer. This ensures even cooking and proper food safety.
To prevent the bacon from sticking to the air fryer basket, you can either lightly spray the basket with cooking oil or line it with parchment paper. This will help the bacon release easily after cooking.
I hope you enjoy this bacon-wrapped chicken as much as my family does. It's the perfect recipe for those busy weeknights when you are craving something filling and full of flavor.

These were perfect! I used a pack of chicken breasts from Costco, and used three slices of bacon for each piece. Everything is bigger from Costco! After the first cooking at 400F for 15 min, I then set to 370F for 12, and the internal temp was 165-167F in the thickest part, just right. Before wrapping them I had salted the breasts and let them sit on a rack in the fridge for several hours. I used Kinder Taco seasoning on them. Absolutely delicious! Thank you for such a nice simple recipe.
