INGREDIENTS FOR ROASTED POTATOES IN THE AIR FRYER
- Petite medley potatoes: Small, colorful, cook evenly and quickly. Make sure to clean and rinse before using.
- Garlic powder: Adds mild, savory depth.
- Onion powder: Provides sweet, oniony flavor; more concentrated than fresh.
- Kosher salt: Enhances natural flavors.
- Ground black pepper: Adds mild heat and sharpness.
- White pepper: Milder than black pepper; subtle, less visible.
- Smoked paprika: Adds smoky depth and vibrant color.
- Olive oil: Ensures crispy exterior, enhances flavor adherence.
If you don't have all of these spices on hand, you can also consider substituting with a combo cajun seasoning such as Tony Chachere's.

TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST AIR FRYER ROASTED POTATOES
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Start with a preheated air fryer at 400°F (204°C) to ensure the potatoes start cooking immediately and get a nice crust.
- Dry the Potatoes: After washing, thoroughly dry the potatoes. Removing excess moisture helps them crisp up better in the air fryer.
- Don’t Overcrowd: Arrange the potatoes in a single layer with some space between them. Crowding can steam the potatoes instead of roasting them, leading to less crispiness. This also helps them to cook evenly.
- Shake Regularly: Don't be afraid to shake the basket a few times during cooking to rotate the potatoes. This helps them brown and crisp evenly on all sides.
