NOTE: I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer or 6.8 quart air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages, cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.

Variations

Use a different meat – You can cook this recipe with veggie burgers, air fryer turkey burgers, or ground beef burgers, too!

Add seasonings – To make flavorful burgers, don’t forget to add seasonings! You can add it to the frozen patties to add flavor. Garlic powder, onion powder, and even Montreal steak seasoning are all fun options to add flavor easily to these frozen hamburger patties.

How to Serve

Once you’ve cooked a juicy hamburger in the air fryer, it’s time to add the toppings! I love red onion, melted cheese, dill pickles, and tomatoes on my beef hamburger patties. You can also pair air fryer burger recipes like this one with so many delicious sides. Some of my favorites are potato salad, potato chips, or even a side of french fries.

How to Store

If you have leftover air fryer hamburgers, you can save them for later! Just make sure to let the beef patties cool down all the way, and then store them in an airtight container for later. This is the easiest way to keep them fresh and ready to reheat and eat.

FAQs

Why is air frying better for making tasty burgers?

One of the best things about making this easy air fryer recipe is that it makes for easy cleanup. You can literally cook burgers for the whole family and be done within 8-10 minutes of cleaning the kitchen.

The high heat cooks the frozen hamburger patty perfectly, making a delicious burger recipe that is ready to place between a piece of bread or two to eat.

Will I still have a lot of grease when cooking air fryer frozen burgers?

You will have the same amount of grease that you would with fresh meat, but cooking the meat in the air fryer at least keeps the burgers out of the grease. As the air fryer cooks, the grease will drop down and be away from the meat.

This is what I love about using the air fryer – it keeps food from being a greasy mess!

Do I need to flip the burgers when they are cooking in the air fryer?

Yes, once they reach the halfway point in terms of cook time, you will need to flip the burgers. This helps them to cook evenly and makes sure that the entire burger gets cooked, no matter the thickness of the burgers.

Looks easy! I do have a question about your recipes. Are you calculating cook times after preheating or are you putting your food in before it’s preheated and your cook times begin when everything is cold?

    1. Rebecca says:

Hi Jerri. Most of the time, we don’t preheat so we post the time from straight into the basket, to being done. We do have a few recipes that require pre-heating, but if they do, we will make sure to include that in the directions.
