Optional Assorted Toppings
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- onion

- tartar sauce, dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and mustard

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER SALMON BURGERS
STEP 1
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F. If you don't have a preheat feature, just run your air fryer for 3-5 minutes.
STEP 2
Once it's preheated, lightly spray the air fryer basket or lightly brush it with olive oil.
STEP 3
Place the frozen salmon burgers in the basket. Air fry salmon patties at 380 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through air frying, until they are golden brown.
STEP 4
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature to make sure it is 145 degrees F. Add an additional 2-4 minutes until 145 degree internal temp is reached, if necessary.
TIPS
Because the air fryer cooks with hot air, be sure to arrange your salmon burgers in a single layer in the air fryer without stacking or overlapping. The air flow needs to properly circulate to cook them properly.
It's important to serve fish when it's reached the proper temperature. So use an instant-read thermometer to be sure the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F before eating.
The salmon burger pairs with so many yummy side dishes. I like to serve it with air fryer roasted potatoes, or air fryer sweet potato fries.

VARIATIONS
Besides the usual burger toppings, serve with a variety of toppings like fried onion rings or shrimp. They add an extra crunch to your burgers, along with extra flavor!
If making burgers with fresh salmon, or canned salmon, add diced onions, scallions, or veggies before making them into patties. Add your favorite sauce and spices to the salmon mixture too.
I like to chop up crab meat and shrimp meat to the mixture too. By adding extra mix-ins to the meat before shaping them into patties, the flavors are inside the burger.
If following a meal plan like low-carb, weight watchers or keto, or if you just want a healthier meal, use crisp lettuce instead of a bun for lettuce wraps.

STORING AND REHEATING
If you have leftover salmon burgers, allow them to cool first, then store them in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
To reheat, return them to the air fryer and air fry for 2-4 minutes until heated through.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Absolutely! If you want to make homemade salmon patties, you can use fresh or canned salmon. Just shape them into patties and then wrap them individually and freeze them until you are ready to eat.
They are delicious on their own, but I do add a little bit of salt and pepper before putting them in the bun with the sauce and toppings. It's up to you!
