Easy Air Fryer Frozen Fish Sticks

Of course, fish sticks can be made from scratch, using white fish like cod, haddock, or pollack. If you want to make them from scratch instead of frozen, try this simple air fryer fish and chips recipe.

But, when I’m short on time, these frozen fish sticks are perfect! They are delicious with a side salad, or you can use them to make fast fish tacos or a fish sandwich too.

The air fryer makes frozen foods so quickly and easily, so if you need dinner or snack ideas, you might also like Air Fryer Frozen Chicken , or these

Ingredients for Making Fish Sticks in Air Fryer

Box of Gorton's Fish Sticks on a white marble table with an air fryer basket.

Frozen Fish Sticks: Gorton’s fish sticks, Van de Kamp, or your favorite brand of fish sticks.

How to Air Fry Frozen Fish Sticks

STEP 1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Place the fish fingers in a single layer, without stacking or overcrowding. Work in batches if necessary.

STEP 2. Air Fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through air frying.

STEP 3. Once they are golden brown and have reach your desired crispness, remove fish sticks from basket. Serve with tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, or ketchup.

Tips

  • Parchment Paper Safety: If you use parchment paper or foil, it should not be placed in an empty basket.
  • Don’t Overfill Basket: Only place one layer of fish sticks in the basket while air frying or they may not cook as evenly or be as crispy as you would like them to be.
  • Watch Air Frying Time: Because air fryer times may vary depending on the wattage and air fryer model, additional cook times may need to be adjusted by 2-4 minutes. I use a Cosori Air Fryer.

Notes

I would not suggest doing more than one layer of fish sticks while air frying or they may not cook as evenly or be as crispy as you would like them to be.

Thank you so much! I throw away the box they come in to save freezer space. Usually, I remember to take a picture of the instructions first, but not this time!

I had picked up a package of Reynolds air fryer parchment sheets….LOVE them!
