WHY I LOVE THESE ENGLISH MUFFINS

When the English muffins are done, they are golden-brown and slightly crispy on the outside. They are so versatile, you can eat them plain, add a bit of butter, jam, or honey, or use them for your favorite breakfast sandwich or eggs benedict. You can top them with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, or bacon slices.

Having something to eat for breakfast, starts your day right. English muffins have almost no clean up afterwards, making them an ideal breakfast solution when you don’t have a lot of time. So if you need something fast and tasty in the morning, these English muffins are perfect.

EXPERT TIPS

  • It’s important to follow the instructions closely when air frying to make toasted English muffins. The time and temperature may vary slightly depending on the model of your air fryer, so keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t burn. You can always add a few extra minutes if needed.
  • Be sure to flip halfway to avoid uneven toasting.
  • If you are planning to top your English muffin with something like butter or jam, wait until the muffins come out before adding it. This will prevent any sogginess and will help keep them nice and crispy!
  • I make this recipe in my Cosori air fryer. Because air fryer brands are different, depending on your ovens size and wattages, cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.

STORING AND REHEATING

Storing and Reheating Air Fryer English Muffins is really simple. Just store them in an airtight container or zip-lock bag in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

To reheat, simply pop them into a toaster or air fryer for a few minutes until warm and crispy. If you’d like a bit of extra flavor, add some butter or your favorite spread before reheating.

FAQS

How do I add flavor to my English muffins?

To give your English muffins extra flavor, you can try adding a few tablespoons of butter before cooking them in the air fryer. You can also sprinkle on cinnamon sugar for a sweet treat or add your favorite spread such as honey or jam.

Is it necessary to flip the muffins?

Only if you want the bottom of your muffin to be crispy. I have made them with and without flipping and they are great either way.
