Variations

Add other flavors – While I love the taste of the taco seasoning, you can easily change it up. Cayenne pepper is great for those who love spice, while garlic powder and onion powder are pretty good, too! Don’t forget a little bit of salt and black pepper goes a long way as well.

Add different vegetables – These chicken kabobs are delicious as they are, but there is always room for more ingredients. As long as there is room on the kabob skewers, that’s all you need to worry about. You can add cherry tomatoes, slices of purple onion, yellow peppers, mushrooms, or double the amount of raw chicken as well.

How to Serve

The fun part about making this air fryer chicken skewers recipe is that it’s simple to swerve. You can eat it just like it is, or pair it with either white rice or cauliflower rice as a simple side dish option. Air fryer chicken recipes are really versatile in the weeknight dinner side dishes that you can pair with it.

How to Store

I think that the cooked pieces of chicken and veggies are best eaten fresh, but if you have to store them for later, be sure to let everything cool down and then store them in an airtight container.

I would also remove the cooked food from the skewers when storing. That way, you can reheat and eat the next day with ease. You can store these for up to 3 days.

FAQs

What can I do with the leftover chicken pieces?

You can eat the chicken cubes warmed up or make a whole other complete meal. The cooked chicken would be delicious on top of a bed of lettuce or chopped up and served as tacos.

Can I use metal skewers for this recipe?

Wooden skewers are what is best for this recipe so that you can break them as needed to make them fit into the air fryer. This helps the cooking process go smoothly and easily as well, and I’ve found it to be the best way to make the air fryer chicken kebabs.

I love making these chicken kabobs in the air fryer. Not only are they quick and easy, but the whole family loves them.

What if kabobb is already made and frozen

    1. Rebecca says:

Hi Norma. If using frozen kabobs, try adding 3-5 minutes extra air frying time.
