FAQs:

Is this recipe low carb?

Yes! Since this recipe is made from vegetables, it is very low carb and keto friendly, especially if you sub the flour for almond flour.

Can I use almond flour instead of all purpose flour?

Yes! You can use a 1:1 ratio for substituting for regular flour.

What sides pair well with this Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower recipe?

You can add celery sticks, carrot sticks or pair this recipe with a main dish!

How do I prevent the buffalo cauliflower bites from sticking to the wire rack?

Use parchment paper to line the rack before putting your cauliflower bites on it. Plus, you'll have a much easier cleanup since the parchment paper covered the rack!

How can I store these Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Bites?

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When you're ready to eat them, reheat the cauliflower in the Air Fryer at 350ºF for a couple of minutes until heated through.

Can I use cornstarch instead of regular flour?

Yes! Use half the amount of cornstarch as flour for best results.

TIPS:

  • Use your favorite dipping sauce. You can use a homemade buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, blue cheese dip, wing sauce, or another favorite creamy dipping sauce.
  • If you don't want to use margarine or don't have it, you can use a nonstick spray, avocado oil, melted butter, olive oil spray, or any other spray you like.
  • We recommend a single layer of cauliflower bites to ensure all the bites cook evenly and get crispy. Some may cook more or less than others if you stuff too many cauliflower florets into the Air Fryer. You only need a little bit of room in between each bite.
  • To ensure your cauliflower bites come out crispy, you want to ensure you don't put too much oil on them. Too much oil results in a greasy, soggy mess, and you don't want that.
  • You also want to make sure you're fully draining any remaining hot sauce mixture before coating the cauliflower bites in the flour mixture so that they aren't too wet.

What other spices pair well with this recipe?

You can use some onion powder or kosher salt to add extra flavor! Or use a spicy sauce for even more flavor.

What's the best way to use this recipe?

You can use this recipe as a game day snack or appetizer, or you can enjoy this recipe as a healthy snack for when you're feeling hungry. We also like to pair this recipe with a main dish for extra veggies and flavor.

    4 stars
I made according to recipe except I made the executive decision to add only a 1/4 tsp. of baking powder. I have baked may things in my lifetime and have never used more than a few tsp. in a given recipe. Maybe the .25 cup was a mistake or maybe not but the cauliflower was excellent. Maybe better than chicken!
