NOTE: All air fryers cook differently. You may or may not need to adjust the air fry time up or down a minute or two. This recipe was made using the Cosori 5.8qt air fryer and using medium-sized sweet potatoes. If you use smaller sweet potatoes, you will need to lower the amount of cook time. If you use larger sweet potatoes, you may need to increase the amount of cook time.

EXPERT TIPS
When choosing sweet potatoes, find firm potatoes with smooth skin. Try and find sweet potatoes that are similar in size too.
If using larger sweet potatoes, they may need more air frying time. If using smaller potatoes, they will need less time. It's important they are similar in size so they can be done cooking at the same time.
Wash and gently scrub the sweet potatoes to remove any dirt or debris. Then dry them with a paper towel.
Don't skip piercing the potatoes with a fork. This allows the steam inside to leave the potatoes, and will help them cook more evenly.

VARIATIONS
Sweet potatoes are almost as versatile with toppings as russet potatoes. You can top sweet potatoes with different toppings such as:
- butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar
- sugar, butter, cinnamon, and mini marshmallows
- butter, chopped sugared pecans, and mini marshmallows
- drizzle of maple syrup or honey
For a more savory sweet potato, top with sour cream and chives. You can also make a meal out of these sweet potatoes by adding a scoop of chili, ground beef, or even just top with salsa or hot sauce.

Store leftover potatoes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.

40 minutes at 390 degrees will cook them much too long. Try 25 minutes and check on them. They should not shrivel.

Actually, if you're using a Cosori 5.8qt Air Fryer and you cook 3 medium/large sweet potatoes 40 minutes at 390 degrees is the perfect amount of time. We've done this at least 10 plus times and they are perfect every single time. We would also love for you to actually TRY the recipe before rating it. 🙂

Do you have to use kosher salt or can you leave it out
Rebecca
You can use regular table salt, or leave it out. It's up to you! Thank you!
