Air fryer ham steaks are quick and easy. You only need a couple of ingredients and dinner can be on the table in less than 10 minutes!
My kids love ham. It's one of those main dish menu items I can always count on to be a hit at my house for a quick weeknight dinner.
One of my favorite ways to cook ham slices is by using the air fryer. It's quick and easy to grab ham steaks when you don't want to cook an entire boneless ham or whole ham.

How to Make Ham Steak in the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare the air fryer basket with a non-stick cooking spray such as olive oil or avocado oil if needed. You can also use parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Cut the ham steaks in half if desired, and then brush them with maple syrup.
- Add the ham steak to the air fryer basket in a single layer so the air flow will cook the steaks evenly.
- Use the Air Fry function and air fry ham steak at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.
- Flip the ham steaks and brush with maple syrup, then add an additional 3 minutes of cook time.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Kitchen Tips:
- This recipe was made using a basket style 5.8 qt Cosori air fryer. The cook time may differ if you are using a different air fryer model, as different air fryers cook differently.
- Use leftover ham for ham and cheese sliders or a ham and potato casserole.
- Use a silicone basting brush for brushing on the maple syrup.
- Great side dishes are mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and rolls.
- If you are cooking a lot of ham and have a lot of drippings, you can add a piece of bread into the bottom of the basket to absorb the extra drippings.
FAQs:
What are different ways you can season the ham steaks?
I love to keep this air fryer ham recipe simple with maple syrup, but you can use different seasonings such as melted butter and brown sugar, or spice things up with dijon mustard or even soy sauce for a tangy flavor.
This is an easy way to make a tasty air fryer meal with just a few simple ingredients, and one of the best ways to make it quickly.
