I love making everything in the air fryer, but breakfast recipes are my favorite! I love Air Fryer Donut Holes, and my family can’t get enough of this copycat Chick Fil A Air Fryer Breakfast Bowl.

There are so many different things you can make in the air fryer, but french toast just happens to be one of my favorites.

You only need a few ingredients on hand to make this delicious breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • bread
  • eggs
  • milk
  • strawberries
  • strawberry preserves
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Before you start with this recipe, it’s good to prepare for it a bit ahead of time.

You want to lay the bread out to become stale. I find laying the bread out for an hour before cooking will do the trick, but you can even lay the bread out the night before if desired.

Why use stale bread for French Toast?

Stale bread will soak up the egg mixture better than the fresh bread. It will also hold together better when it’s hardened a bit versus if the bread is fresh and soft.

How to Make Strawberry French Toast Roll-Ups in the Air Fryer

Prepare the Air Fryer basket. I like to use a parchment paper with this recipe.

Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and set aside.

Whisk the eggs together and set them aside.

Cut the edges off of the bread. Take a glass or rolling pin and roll over the pieces of bread to flatten them.

Place a layer of strawberry preserves onto one end of the piece of bread and then roll up the bread. Continue with each piece of bread.

Dip the rolled bread into the egg mixture.

Place the french toast roll ups into the prepared air fryer basket in a single layer, careful to leave room in between each one.

Air Fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-9 minutes, turning the roll-ups halfway through cooking.

Carefully remove the french toast roll ups from the air fryer and dip into the cinnamon and sugar mixture and top with fresh cut strawberries before serving.

NOTE: All air fryers cook differently. You may need to add or take away time for this recipe to work with your air fryer. This recipe was made with a Cosori 5.8 and worked perfectly, so use this as a guide to help determine what will work best with your brand of air fryer.
