Sausage Rolls are easy to make in the air fryer. You only need to have a few ingredients on hand for this easy recipe.
I love quick and easy appetizers, and these sausage rolls are one of the easiest to make. My other favorite appetizers are jalapeno poppers, potato skins, and bacon wrapped shrimp.
Ingredients Needed:
- puff pastry (frozen)
- sausage links (I like to use pre-made refrigerated)
- chopped red onion
- egg white
- olive oil spray
If you don't want to place these directly on the air fryer basket, you can also use parchment paper to line the basket. I love using parchment paper, it makes cleanup so much easier.
How to Make Sausage Rolls in the Air Fryer
- Remove the puff pastry from the freezer and allow it to thaw at room temperature for 30-40 minutes.
- In a small bowl, add the egg and whisk.
- Take a sausage link and add it to a puff pastry sheet with some chopped onion pieces.
- Roll the puff pastry around the sausage and onion, seal the edges, and then brush with the egg.
- Repeat the step for the remaining sausage rolls.
- Place the sausage rolls into the basket of the air fryer in a single layer. Make sure to leave space between the sausage rolls.
- Air fry the sausage rolls at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. Flip the pastries halfway through the cooking process.
- Carefully remove the sausage rolls from the air fryer and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
NOTE: I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer or 6.8 quart air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages, cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.
