WHY I LOVE FROZEN ROLLS
I love making these frozen air fryer dinner rolls when I need a quick snack, side dish, or rolls for a holiday dinner. They are so light and fluffy on the inside, and golden brown on the outside. They are a perfect dinner roll, and no one will believe they aren't homemade dinner rolls!
The best part of these fluffy dinner rolls is they can be done in quickly, without the hassle of having to make rolls from scratch. There is no clean up or prep either! And you can make them anytime you need a warm roll without having to thaw them first.

INGREDIENTS
- package frozen rolls-like Sister Schubert’s frozen yeast rolls (10 rolls) or Rhodes frozen rolls (you have to thaw, then let rise, and then air fry)
- tablespoon butter-melted
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F.
STEP 2
Open the package of rolls and then transfer the rolls to the air fryer basket. Arrange them so there is space in between, without stacking, touching, or overlapping. Work in batches if necessary.
STEP 3
If you haven't already, melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl for 15-30 seconds. Then, brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter.
STEP 4
Air fry at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes, until the rolls are light golden brown. Flip the rolls for the last two minutes. Serve while warm.
Optional: Top with additional melted or soft butter
EXPERT TIPS
Preheating the air fryer before cooking your frozen dinner rolls, ensures it's properly preheated. This helps the rolls air fry evenly with a consistent and crispy texture.
Place the frozen dinner rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding or stacking. You don't want to block or prevent air flow so the rolls can cook evenly and all sides.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket or tray with nonstick cooking spray or olive oil to help prevent the rolls from sticking. You can also use a sheet of air fryer parchment paper for easy clean up!
The first time you make these rolls, keep an eye on the cooking time, as air fryers models can have varying cook times. I make these in a Cosori air fryer, and five minutes was just about perfect. So depending on the type of air fryer you are using, you may need to adjust the cooking time by 1-3 minutes.
Turn the rolls about halfway through cooking time, or at least for the last two minutes. This helps the bottom side of the roll get crispy too.

Sweet Sugar and Cinnamon Rolls-Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, then brush rolls with melted butter, and sprinkle the mixture on the rolls before air frying.

Sandwich Rolls- Slice the rolls in half and make the perfect sliders or sandwiches. Fill with sliced lunch meat, hamburgers, or chicken patties.
STORING AND REHEATING
These frozen dinner rolls are easy to store in their original packaging. It's best to heat just what you need, but it you do make a batch of rolls that are more than you can eat, you can store the leftovers.
Place any leftover rolls in an airtight container or cover with plastic wrap once they've cooled. They can be kept in the fridge or on the counter for a few days.
To reheat, pop the rolls back into the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until they're warm and crispy again.
