Air Fryer Sugar Cookies with Reese's Pieces are so easy to make! I love using my air fryer and wanted to try something new, so I grabbed a favorite sugar cookie recipe and added in Reese's Pieces. The cookies were ready to eat in 5 minutes and turned out perfectly!

Why I Love These
I love freshly baked sugar cookies. You can add any extras to them, like candies, chips, frosting, or even leave them plain. I added Reese's Pieces to mine because we love all things peanut butter!
Cookies are a fun and easy dessert to make in the air fryer. If you love this recipe, you might love these chocolate chip cookies, brownie mix cookies, or cake mix cookies, too.

Why make sugar cookies in the air fryer?
There are so many reasons to make these sugar cookies in the air fryer! I live in a hot climate, so being able to make cookies without heating up my kitchen is always a bonus. The clean-up in the air fryer is a snap too.
If I don't have a lot of time, I can make these cookies in small batches. I have also made this cookie dough, scooped about a dozen cookies, and then wrapped the remaining dough to cook the rest later. It was perfect.
It is easy to fit seven or eight cookies in the basket at a time. I could probably add a few more, but I like to have room for the cookies to spread as they cook. But with just five minutes needed to cook, I have cookies ready in no time at all!
This recipe is so easy to make, and uses ingredients you will probably have on hand. The only thing that will change will be what you decide to mix into the cookie.
Ingredients
- unsalted butter
- granulated sugar
- vanilla extract
- eggs
- all-purpose flour
- baking powder
- Reese's Pieces Candy to mix in
How to Make
Step 1
Prepare the air fryer basket with a piece of parchment paper. Set the basket aside until the dough is prepared.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the butter and the sugar. Mix on medium speed until combined.
Step 3
Add in the vanilla and the eggs. Continue to mix for an additional 30 seconds.
Step 4
Slowly add in the flour and baking powder, mixing together until a soft dough forms. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl if necessary.
Step 5
Stir in the candy pieces, evenly mixing them into the dough.
Step 6
Scoop or spoon small balls of the dough onto the prepared parchment paper inside of the air fryer basket. Leave about ½ inch in between cookies.
Step 7
Cook at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 4-6 minutes or until cookies are golden on the top. Remove from the air fryer basket and allow cookies to cool.
Note: Depending on your type of air fryer, they may need 5 or 6 minutes. The cookies are done when they are golden brown on top and bottom and can be scooped straight out of the basket.
Variations
Choose different types of mix-ins to make these sugar cookies unique. Try different variations with M&Ms, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, chocolate chunks, or even crushed Heath bars or Butterfinger bars.
Storage
Store leftover cookie dough in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. Grab the cookie dough for a quick and easy small batch of cookies whenever the craving hits.
Store any leftover baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature in a cool setting out of direct sunlight for up to 5 days.
FAQ's
No, you can use the same ingredients as you would for oven-baked sugar cookies. The key ingredients typically include flour, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and baking powder.
When baking cookies or cakes in the air fryer, I DO NOT preheat beforehand.
Use parchment paper or lightly grease the air fryer basket to prevent sticking. Ensure the parchment paper is only slightly larger than the cookies to avoid it from lifting and touching the heating elements.
The cookies are done when they are lightly golden around the edges. They may still be soft in the middle but will harden as they cool.
Yes, refrigerating the dough can improve the texture and flavor of the cookies. It also makes the dough easier to handle.
Sugar cookies are one of my favorite quick and easy desserts because you can literally have a delicious, warm cookie in just minutes.
Just premake some dough and make a few any time the cravings hit.

My air fryer has a regular air fry option but also has a bake option. Any suggestion on which one would be better to use?
We've made cookies using both and the bake option will cook them just as well, but maybe a tiny bit slower. So just keep an eye on them the first time you make them.

I have not seen air fryer parchment. What is the difference
Hi Bonnie. You can cut a piece of parchment paper to fit into your basket, and then poke holes in it. You can also buy pre-made air fryer parchment paper like this. (aff) https://amzn.to/3rnppW3
