FAQs

When should I serve this decadent dessert?

Since this will be your family’s new favorite dessert, you should serve it anytime you want. It also makes the perfect Cinco de mayo dessert and is a fun treat for a fiesta party. (don’t forget that it’s also great for a birthday party!)

How do I keep the cheesecake mixture from cooking out of the burrito?

It’s all about the burrito shape! You need to ensure that you’re not overfilling the flour tortilla and that you’re working on the rolling process.

The best way to tell if this chimichanga is done cooking is to peek at the tortilla. You should have a crispy tortilla, but not a burnt one.

What other toppings can I add to this savory dish?

Sliced strawberries that are fresh and ripe during strawberry season add so much flavor!

You can easily top it with ice cream or stick with the delicious cinnamon sugar mixture discussed in the printable recipe card below.
