During the summer, fresh fruits, like peaches, are available for the season. Although you can definitely make this recipe with fresh peaches, I use peach preserves to save time.

How to make air fryer chicken

To make this recipe, you add the chicken breasts to a large Ziploc bag, or a shallow medium bowl. Coat the chicken with the Italian dressing. I prefer using a bag so I don’t have to handle raw chicken, and when it’s done marinating, I can just toss the bag.

If using a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, or place the Ziploc bag in the refrigerator and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, but preferably, a couple of hours. Italian dressing is the perfect sauce because it is made with just the right amount of seasonings.

Once the chicken is done marinating, remove them from the bag or bowl, and toss any remaining dressing that was used. Then, brush them with the preserves until they are coated on both sides. Next, place the chicken in the air fryer basket or tray, and cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8-10 minutes on each side.

Once the chicken is golden brown, brush again with another coating of the preserves, and return for an additional two minutes of cooking. Use a meat thermometer to confirm chicken has an internal temp of 165 degrees.
