EXPERT TIPS
If you are using fresh pineapple, you will want to choose a ripe pineapple. Find one that has a sweet smell and will be slightly soft when gently squeezed.
To cut fresh pineapple, first rinse the pineapple under cold water. Slice off the top of the pineapple, then the bottom. Make vertical cuts down the sides of the pineapple to remove the outer skin of the pineapple.
To remove the pineapple core, use a pineapple corer, or sharp knife. Then cut into rings or chunks.
Don't overcrowd or stack the pineapple pieces in the air fryer so they can cook evenly and the air flow isn't blocked. Keep an eye on the pineapple while making this recipe.
Depending on how thick you slice your pieces, cooking times may vary by a few minutes. For instance, if your slices are thicker, you will need to add a minute or two. Also, if they are thinner, you may need a minute or two less time.

STORING AND REHEATING
If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. To reheat, return the slices or pieces to the air fryer, and air fry for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
FAQS
Yes. Using canned pineapple rings or slices can save a lot of time when making this air fryer pineapple recipe. Just be sure to drain the excess liquid well before using.
The brown sugar will carnalize during air frying, making it lightly golden brown. If using fresh pineapple, air fry until it reaches your desired tenderness.
Tossing the pineapple helps ensure that both sides can caramelize and become tender, and will prevent uneven cooking.
