INGREDIENTS
To make air fryer bananas you will need just a short list of ingredients from your pantry. To make this recipe you will need:
- Bananas
- Butter-or coconut oil
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Begin by peeling and cutting ripe bananas lengthwise with a sharp knife. Using a paper towel to wipe off any excess skin from banana. Place banana slices on a cutting board in a single layer.
STEP 2
Place butter in a medium saucepan over low heat or melt butter in microwave in a microwave safe dish.
STEP 3
In a small mixing bowl, combine cinnamon and brown sugar. Take each individual banana slice and coat with butter. Then, spoon cinnamon and sugar mixture over the top of each banana slice.
STEP 4
Lightly mist basket with cooking spray or line air fryer basket with parchment paper, then place the slices in a single layer in the basket.
STEP 5
Air fry the bananas at 380 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, until they are golden brown. Serve while warm.
TIPS
Try and find bananas that are ripe and are similar in size. It also helps to slice them as evenly as possible to help ensure they cook evenly.
You don't have to add cinnamon and sugar to your bananas, as they have a natural sweetness with sugars, but we like to have that little extra flavor!

VARIATIONS
Seasonings: Enhance fresh banana taste by using vanilla extract, or a sprinkle of pumpkin spice or maple syrup. Instead of using just sugar and cinnamon, make this recipe with your favorite spices such as McCormick's pumpkin pie spice or nutmeg, and make it your own.
Liqueurs: Occasionally, I like make these an adult dessert. For an extra depth of flavor, brush bananas lightly with one of your favorite liqueurs. Cointreau, brandy or a smoky whiskey make these delicious bananas decadent.
Dessert Toppings: Although these bananas are perfect as they are, they can also be quickly turned into a dessert. Just slice your air-fried bananas into bite and top them with chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, or marshmallows. STORING LEFTOVERS
If you have leftovers, first let them cool completely. Once they have cooled, place them in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- In a small mixing bowl, combine the cinnamon and brown sugar. Take each individual banana slice and coat with butter. Then spoon sugar and cinnamon mixture over the top of each banana slice.
- Next, lightly mist basket with cooking spray or line air fryer basket with parchment paper. Place bananas slices into the air fryer basket, without overlapping.
- Air fry at 380 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, gently turning the banana slices lengthwise halfway through the cooking process to keep ingredients on top of bananas. Air Fry until they are golden brown and then serve warm.
