GARLIC KNOTS IN AIR FRYER
This is a recipe you will love if you are a garlic lover like myself. Fresh garlic flavor really comes through in the garlic parsley butter mixture that is brushed onto the knots.
Homemade garlic knots are the perfect appetizer food for parties because they are a quick finger food to snack on. These garlicky knots are the best accompaniments with dinner on pizza night or game night with the family.
Ingredients:
- refrigerated store-bought pizza dough
- unsalted butter- melted
- Parmesan cheese- grated
- minced garlic cloves
- dried parsley flakes
- Italian Seasoning
Optional Spices: Garlic powder, Trader Joe's everything bagel seasoning, garlic salt, dried oregano, basil or thyme.
HOW TO MAKE GARLIC KNOTS IN AIR FRYER:
- Open the can of premade pizza dough and on a lightly floured surface, roll it out into a rectangle.
- With a pizza cutter or kitchen knife cut the dough into twelve 1-inch strips, and then fold each strip in half. Tie each piece into dough knots, making 12 knots.
- Place the dough balls into the air fryer basket in a single layer, lined with parchment paper, a silicone baking mat or lightly sprayed with olive oil spray.
- Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, until they are golden brown.
- While knots are in a small mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley flakes, and Italian seasoning.
- When knots are golden brown, use a pastry brush and generously brush garlic butter on each piece with butter and seasonings and top with grated parmesan cheese.
I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages, air frying cooking times may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.
FAQ's
Crescent rolls, homemade pizza dough, puff pastry sheets, canned biscuits and dough sheets which will all work to make these perfect garlic knots. Another is phyllo dough which will make layers of extra crispy garlic knots. You can also twist this dough for garlic breadsticks.
Let garlic knots completely cool prior to storing. Place them in an airtight container or resealable storage bag in your refrigerator for up to 3 days. Wrap them in parchment paper, plastic wrap or wax paper (this prevents freezer burn) then place them in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 3 months in your freezer.
