Store leftover edamame in your refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container or resealable storage bag. Freeze them for up to 1 year in a freezer-friendly container or resealable air-tight container. Be sure to cool them completely prior to storing so they remain vibrant and crunchy.
Edamame beans are a type of immature soybean that are commonly found in different Asian cuisines. The pods are long with round beans inside, sort of like a green bean but with 2-3 small ridges which are the beans we nibble on.
Throw away the pods after you have eaten the beans because they are inedible. When done cooking gently squeeze one end of the pod and the edamame beans will be pushed out the other end of the pod for you to enjoy.
