How to make Air Fryer Mexican Pizza
- In a small skillet, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Stir in the taco seasoning until combined, and remove from heat.
- Use a small skillet and heat the skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly brown the tortillas for about 1 minute per side or until lightly browned and slightly crispy. Set aside. (You can also heat the tortillas in the air fryer. Add the tortillas to the basket of the air fryer, and then add a trivet to the top to keep them from flying around. Heat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit and air fry for 3 minutes. Carefully remove the trivet. It will be hot)
- Place a tortilla into the basket of the air fryer. Spread the top of the tortilla with refried beans. Top the beans with taco meat and with salsa.
- Add the second tortilla on top of the first. Cover the top of the tortilla with enchilada sauce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, green onions, and black olives. Then top with additional shredded cheese.
- Air fry the Mexican pizza at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes.
- Use a spatula to carefully remove the pizza from the air fryer to a serving plate. Top with lettuce, sour cream, and green onion tops before serving.
- Repeat the process for the second pizza.
Variations
Change the type of cheese - You can use cheddar cheese, Mexican cheese blend, Mozzarella cheese, or any of your other favorite types of cheese.
Add your favorite taco toppings - This is where you can add another big spin on the Taco Bell version! This easy recipe is so simple to alter with toppings. Add chili powder for heat, or even some taco sauce or hot sauce. Other favorite toppings are refried pinto beans, chopped red onion or white onion, or even some black beans.
