How to Make a Breakfast Sandwich in the Air Fryer:

  1. Prepare the air fryer basket with a nonstick cooking spray if needed.

  2. Butter both sides of each piece of bread. Place the bread in a single layer in the basket of the air fryer.

Two pieces of buttered bread on a small round plate with a clear ramekin of butter and a knife with butter on it.

  3. Take the bacon and give it a little twist in the middle, and create a little “nest” for the egg.

  4. Crack open the egg and carefully place it into the center of the bacon nest.

  5. Air fry the sandwich at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-8 minutes.

  6. Carefully remove the breakfast sandwich from the air fryer, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.

NOTE: This recipe was made with a basket style 5.8 quart Cosori Air Fryer. If you are using a different size or different brand of air fryer, your breakfast sandwich cooking time may need to be adjusted.

FAQs:

What type of bread is best used for the breakfast sandwich?

There isn’t a specific type of bread, so use the bread you love the most. I like to use a classic white or wheat bread, but you can also use sourdough bread if desired.

What sort of bacon is best used for a breakfast sandwich?

Because the breakfast sandwich is cooking, it’s best to use a thin cut of bacon. Thick cuts of bacon may need to be precooked for a few minutes before adding to the sandwich. This is to ensure the thicker cuts of bacon cook fully through.

What if I like my egg to be a little runnier?

If you want your egg to be a little runnier, consider decreasing the cooking time from 8 minutes to about 6-7 minutes, depending on your preferred consistency.

I love this easy breakfast recipe and you will, too! It’s a great way to make something that’s quick, easy, and done with one appliance. No need to heat up the stovetop for this one.

It’s best to use a thin cut of bacon. Thicker bacon will need more cook time and will need to be cooked for a few minutes before placing it on the breakfast sandwich.
If you want your egg to be a little runnier, consider decreasing the cooking time from 8 minutes to about 6-7 minutes, depending on your preferred consistency.
