WHY I LOVE THIS RECIPE
What I love about this air fryer tortilla pizza recipe (besides the taste) is that it has simple steps that anyone can make. I also love the crispy crust that happens quickly because of the hot air coming from the air fryer!
In fact, this is such a simple recipe that it's one that the kids can easily make on their own as well! They'll love knowing that they can make 5-minute air fryer tortilla pizzas because that means that they have very little time to wait before actually eating them!
The air fryer can also reheat leftover pizza, and will make it just as crispy as when it was first delivered!
INGREDIENTS
- Flour tortilla
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Italian Seasonings-or basil and oregano
- Optional Toppings: Such as pepperoni, mushrooms, ham, pineapple, olives, onions
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Place the tortilla in the air fryer. Spread about one tablespoon of sauce onto the tortilla, and then sprinkle a dash of the Italian seasonings on top.
STEP 2
Top with cheese and preferred toppings. (If using pepperoni, add a sprinkle of cheese over them to prevent them from flying off in the air fryer. Or air fry for 1 or 2 minutes, and then add toppings to the melted cheese.)
STEP 3
Air fry at 380 degrees F for 2-4 minutes, until the edges are slightly crispy and the cheese has melted.
I make this recipe in my Cosori air fryer. Depending on your air fryer oven, size and wattages, cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.
VARIATIONS
Leave off the tomato sauce - You can use marinara sauce or not. I'm a big fan of using cheese sauce, BBQ sauce, Alfredo sauce, pesto, or Ranch dressing!
Use low-carb tortillas - If you're on a low-carb diet, you can easily swap out regular flour tortillas for ones that are lower in net carbs.
Add different toppings - You can add pepperoni slices, green bell peppers, diced BBQ chicken, black olives, red onion, red pepper flakes, or other simple ingredients. Just add your favorite toppings and enjoy. Double or triple up on the tortillas if using a lot of toppings. Otherwise it will be too heavy to lift with just one.
EXPERT TIPS
If adding more toppings like sausage, tomatoes, or chopped veggies, the tortilla won't be able to hold the weight so place them on a piece of parchment paper or a small baking tray that can easily be lifted out. Light toppings such as spinach or garlic, are the best.

STORING AND REHEATING
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat leftovers, cook in the air fryer for one minute at 380 degrees F or until the cheese has melted.
You probably won't have leftovers since you are just making one tortilla at a time. Leftovers can be saved, but they are best freshly made. Just be sure that the craving is within a day or two of storing the leftovers and keep in mind in may not be as crispy as when it's first made.
FAQS
For the best results, you need to cook these one at a time. That is the best way to get a crispy thin crust with every bite. Don't forget to spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray!
You need to put the cheese all the way to the edge! This is a great way to cover the edge and add flavor, too! The melty cheese will cover the edges and won't let it burn.
