We first made these pecans because we were wanting a snack that could satisfy all of our cravings at the same time. These pecans are made with all of the flavors in one perfect snack.
Spiced pecans are super addicting, so you may want to divide them into serving portions. I divided mine into small bags and put a few in the car, and one in my bag, so when I'm on-the-go and get a craving, I have them on hand.
Although sometimes I like having true bakery type desserts, like Air Fryer Brownies, or Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies. However, when you need a fast and healthy snack, pecans are perfect because they are a good source of calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
What you need to make Spiced Pecans
Air Fryer Spiced Pecans are very easy to make and take just a few minutes to cook in the air fryer. To make these pecans, you will need:
- pecans
- soy sauce
- brown sugar
- salt
- cayenne pepper
Although there is just a tiny amount of cayenne pepper in these spiced pecans, if you don't like things too spicy, you can substitute chili powder, or just leave that out of the recipe.

How to make Spiced Pecans in the Air Fryer
- In a medium bowl, combine the pecans with the soy sauce, brown sugar, and seasonings. Stir together to coat the pecans.
- Let the pecans sit for about 5-10 minutes.
- VERY lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive oil, or parchment paper liner.
- Cook at 325 degrees F for 3-5 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
- Allow the pecans to cool.
Another amazing feature to spice pecans is how crazy easy they are to make! First, grab a medium bowl, and pour the pecans into the bowl. Add in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and seasonings, then stir them together until all of the pecans are coated.
Next, let the pecans sit for about 5-10 minutes so they can absorb the sauce and seasonings. Because this helps the flavor soak in a little bit, it will result in them have a better flavor.

Then pour them into a very light coated air fryer basket. Cook them at 325 degrees for three to five minutes. Shake the basket about halfway through cooking. Once they are done cooking, remove them from the air fryer basket and let them cool.
I used my Dash 2 quart Compact Air Fryer to make these pecans. It is a smaller air fryer, but it is perfect for small snacks like these pecans, or for smaller meals.
