Ingredients:
- all-purpose flour
- brown sugar
- unsalted butter, softened
- molasses- like Grandma's Molasses
- egg
- baking soda
- ground ginger
Cinnamon sugar topping:
- granulated sugar
- ground cinnamon
How to make Air Fryer Gingersnap Cookies:
-
In a small shallow bowl or flat plate, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Stir dry ingredients together and set aside.
-
In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, molasses, egg, baking soda, and ground ginger. Mix on medium speed until mixture becomes thick and creamy.
-
Slowly add in flour (about a ¼ cup at a time). Continue to mix together until a soft dough forms. Make sure all flour from sides of bowl is fully incorporated into the dough mixture.
-
Use a cookie scoop or spoon shape dough into small balls (about 1-1 ½ inches in size). Roll them in cinnamon sugar mixture and place in air fryer basket.
-
Line your air fryer with parchment paper and place balls in a single layer. Leave enough room between cookies to slightly spread as they cook. Air fry at 320 degrees F for 6-8 minutes.
-
Allow cookies to cool before removing them from your air fryer basket. If you are making a couple of batches, you can remove cookies when slightly warm and let them finish cooling on a wire rack.
This recipe was made in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size, wattages and cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.
