Why I Love Mini Tacos
Yummy, crispy mini tacos are some of my favorite appetizers. What makes this dish the best is these are already made for you and you just grab them from the freezer. My favorite air fryer frozen mini tacos are always a BIG hit with the family. No need to brown ground beef, or warm corn tortillas, these frozen mini tacos are made for you and done in less than 10 minutes. Not only that but no deep frying is needed.
All you have to decide is what toppings you want to serve them with.
If you love easy appetizers like these mini tacos, you might also enjoy making other dishes straight from the freezer. A few of my favorites include: frozen burger in air fryer, frozen burrito in air fryer, frozen fish in air fryer, and frozen taquitos in air fryer.
All come out perfect and delish!

Ingredients
- frozen mini tacos. I love to use the Jose Ole mini tacos, but there are several mini beef tacos brands you can choose from in the frozen foods section at the grocery store.
How to Air Fry Frozen Mini Tacos
Step 1
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit/200 degrees Celcius for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Place the frozen mini tacos in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Step 3
Air fry mini tacos at 400 degrees F for 5-6 minutes cooking time, or until golden brown and slightly crispy. Flip halfway through when air frying if needed.
This is such an easy air fryer recipe and one I will make often when I need a quick snack or appetizer. It's a great way to put a meal on the table in less than 10 minutes.
Tips
- I make this and most other recipes using the air fry function on my Cosori air fryer. It's a Dual Blaze, which means it has a heating element on the top and bottom of the air fryer.
- Like all air fryers, hot air is "frying" the foods for you. To ensure even cooking, make sure to place items in a single layer with a little space.
- For best results air fry for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
- Spice things up by adding your favorite taco toppings and seasonings.
Variations
You can make these from frozen, or you can also make any of these variations from homemade. If making these from scratch, have your favorite meats, cheeses, and either corn or flour tortillas on hand.
- chicken. Chicken mini tacos are another favorite, available from several different brands.
- beef. We love our mini beef tacos, and you can also find several available brands.
- pork. If you're looking for a change of meat, you can also find mini pork tacos.
- cheese. Have a picky eater who prefers mini tacos without meat? make mini cheese tacos with corn tortillas and different cheese blends.
- veggie. Another great idea for mini tacos is to make them with veggies only. I haven't found a favorite brand for these yet, but local grocers may have what you're looking for.
Servings
Serve this dish with your favorite dipping sauce and sides. Here are a few of our Mexican food favorites:
- rice
- refried beans
- queso cheese
- guacamole
- salsa or pico de gallo
- sour cream
Storage/Reheating
- storing leftovers. If you've made too many, store leftover mini tacos in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- reheating. Reheat leftover mini tacos in the air fryer and cook at 350 degrees F for 3-4 minutes of cooking time, or until tacos are heated through.
FAQs
If cooking in a preheated air fryer at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, the cooking time should be between 5-6 minutes from start to finish.
If you're looking for crunchy shells, brush them with a little olive oil cooking spray before cooking to give them a little crispy crunchy taste.
Yes! Add your favorite seasonings such as taco seasoning and chili powder.
For even heating when cooking mini tacos, flip them halfway through the cooking time.
You can, but I find the air fryer to work best. The microwave tends to yield soggy tacos and the conventional oven takes longer to cook.
You do not need to use parchment paper or foil when cooking, but these items will help with tray cleanup when you're finished air frying.
