Air Fryer Cream Cheese Cherry Pies is a dessert with a golden-brown crust and creamy sweet filling that has so much depth of flavor. It is a family favorite dessert in our household that everyone devours.

They are easy to make for special treats or a delicious breakfast during busy weekday mornings. Whipping up these pies is super quick because they take just a few minutes to make.

As breakfast pastries, desserts for parties or after school snacks for the kids these will be a hit every time. It is one of the best recipes because anything that can be portable to eat, I think is fantastic.
Ingredients:
- cherry pie canned filling
- cream cheese
- egg
- refrigerated pie dough
Directions:
- Roll out the refrigerated pie dough on a cutting board and cut them into 6" dough circles.
- Use a mini pie maker, round cookie cutter or a small plate as a template for the desired size.
- In a medium-sized bowl mix the cherry pie filling and cream cheese together.
- Whisk the egg in a separate shallow bowl.
- Scoop 2 tablespoons of the cherry cream cheese mixture into the center of the dough circles.
- Fold the circle in half, then use a fork to crimp the edges.
- Spritz the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place pies in a single layer into the prepared air fryer basket, then brush each pie with the egg mixture.
- Air fry the pies at 380 degrees F for 6 minutes, flipping the pies carefully halfway through the cooking process.
- Remove pies and place them on baking racks so the pies remain crispy prior to serving.
- Serve while warm.
Optional Flavors: Vanilla extract, nutmeg, lemon zest, cinnamon, cardamom, almond extract or all spice.
Optional Toppings: Powdered sugar, granulated sugar, caramel sauce, cinnamon sugar, toasted coconut or a dollop of whipped cream.
Kitchen Tips: Use parchment paper liners if you do not have nonstick cooking spray.
NOTE: I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages, the cook time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.

FAQ's
Can I use other flavors of pie filling?
Yes, you sure can. There are several flavors of canned filling that are available in your local grocery stores that you can use in this recipe. Some popular flavors are apple, raspberry, peach, strawberry and blueberry.
Are there other doughs I can use?
Definitely! If you happen to have homemade dough in your freezer it will be perfect for this dish. There are a number of refrigerated or freezer doughs in grocery stores these days as well. A few of them are puff pastry, canned biscuit dough, canned crescent roll dough, large wonton wrappers or filo dough. Cook times will vary depending on which one of these you use.
How to store leftovers?
Let the pies completely cool prior to storing. They can be stored in an airtight container or resealable storage bag for up to 5 days in your refrigerator. Freeze them in an airtight container or freezer storage bag for up to 3 months.

Cherries are a versatile fruit they are wonderful in both sweet and savory dishes. Some sweet dishes are cherry and pecan streusel, cinnamon roll cherry cobbler or a decadent cherry Danish. These were really good, I made smaller circles so I had 8 pies., Did end up with leftover filling even though I stuffed them . That's OK. It's good all by itself. Dusted with powered sugar while warm. Yummmm
