Step 1
Preheat the Air Fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2
Prepare the Air Fryer basket or a pan that will fit into the air fryer with non-stick cooking spray. You can also use parchment paper.

Step 3
Place the cinnamon roll dough in the Air Fryer in a single layer, leaving a little space in between each cinnamon roll.

Step 4
Set the cooking time for 8 minutes to allow the cinnamon rolls to fully cook. The cinnamon rolls will be fully cooked and the tops will be golden brown when ready.

Step 5
Remove the cinnamon rolls from the Air Fryer and top them with the icing while they are still hot. Serve immediately.

Expert Tips

Size matters! If you’re using the smaller cinnamon rolls, adjust the cooking time to 5 minutes. The smaller cinnamon rolls will cook faster. For larger full size cinnamon rolls use the full 8 minutes.

I like to use a pan when making cinnamon rolls in the air fryer. You can cook cinnamon rolls directly on the air fryer basket grate or on top of parchment paper as well.

If using parchment paper in the air fryer, preheat the air fryer without the parchment paper. Add the parchment paper when you are adding the cinnamon rolls.

Storage

Store any leftover cinnamon rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

To reheat, add the cinnamon rolls back into the air fryer basket and heat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 minutes, or until heated through. You will need to add more icing after reheating.

FAQs

Why make cinnamon rolls in the Air Fryer?

If you’ve made cinnamon rolls as much as we have, it takes a little extra time in a standard oven. Instead of preheating the oven and cooking the cinnamon rolls, use the Air Fryer! It’s a quick and easy way to make a deliciously prepared breakfast.

How long do you cook Cinnamon Rolls in the Air Fryer?

We cook regular-sized Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls for 8 minutes in our Air Fryers with perfect results every time. If you are using a different brand of cinnamon rolls or a smaller cinnamon roll, we suggest running a test batch first and setting the cook time to 5 minutes and adding additional time if needed.

Do I need to preheat the air fryer for cinnamon rolls?

Preheating the air fryer is recommended for best results. Preheating helps ensure that the air fryer is at the optimal temperature for cooking when you place the cinnamon rolls inside, which can result in more evenly cooked and golden brown cinnamon rolls. Preheat your air fryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions, typically for about 3-5 minutes before adding the cinnamon rolls.

I love making cinnamon rolls in the air fryer. They are quick, easy, and always delicious!

Do I preheat first and then put the parchment paper and spray in or do I put the paper and spray in first then preheat?

Always preheat first! the parchment paper can blow up into the fan and burn.

I ALWAYS use the air fryer setting. I don’t even use the other settings because this is the setting that I use to make sure I am achieving the right time and temperature. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope that helps!
