Recipe Ingredients

- Carrots Fresh, ripe carrots, cut into sticks.
- Olive oil: To help the seasoning stick to the carrots, and also to lend them that golden brown, crispiness.
- Seasonings: I used a mix of garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper. You can try using my DIY ranch seasoning too.
See recipe card for quantities.
Variations
- For a spicier kick, use some chili powder or cayenne pepper along with the salt and pepper to season the carrot fries.
- You can also use another seasoning of your choice. I love using my homemade taco seasoning sometimes.
How to Make Air Fryer Carrot Fries

- Slice the carrots lengthwise into ¼ inch wide sticks to ensure they cook evenly. In a large bowl, toss the carrot sticks with olive oil, garlic powder, sea salt, and ground black pepper until they are well coated.

- Arrange the seasoned carrots in a single layer in the Air Fryer basket. Cook for 400°F for 10 minutes.

- After 10 minutes, shake the basket a bit to move the fries around and continue cooking for 5-8 minutes more until they’re golden brown and crispy.

- Enjoy them as-is or team them up with your favorite dip.
Serving Ideas & Suggestions
Enjoy these crispy air fried carrot fries on their own or paired with a nice ranch dip, serve it as an appetizer along with some Air Fryer chicken wings, or team them up with your favorite burger.
I absolutely love serving these with my Air Fryer chicken burgers and Air Fryer black bean burgers, along with my favorite Air Fryer fried pickles. You can also serve these carrot fries with some Air Fryer copycat Chick-fil-A sandwich or a simple Air Fryer grilled cheese sandwich.
Recipe Tips & Tricks
- Cut the carrots into even-sized sticks to ensure they’re cooked and golden brown at the right time.
- Cook in batches if necessary to allow hot air to circulate throughout the basket.
- For best results, preheat your Air Fryer before adding the carrots. This gives them a much better texture.
- To make the Air Fryer carrot fries extra crispy, you can also coat them in some Panko breadcrumbs before you air fry them. I did this when I made my Air Fryer zucchini fries and I absolutely love how crunchy they turned out.
- You can also add some freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a nutty, cheesy flavor, like I did when I made my Air Fryer green bean fries.

Recipe FAQs
Yes! I recommend not cutting the baby carrots and cooking them as is. In addition, baby carrots will require less cooking time because they are smaller.
Yes! However, make sure you thaw the carrots first and pat dry them before before tossing them with the oil and spices. This will ensure they don’t get soggy when they’re cooked.
Yes! White carrots have just as much flavor as regular carrots, making them a great substitute for this healthy recipe! In fact, you can also use purple or yellow carrots if you want to.
Store your leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. You can then reheat them in the Air Fryer to get them nice and crispy again.
