  4. Remove the basket from the air fryer’s bottom and drain any remaining fat.

  5. Serve as desired.

Use ground beef for taco meat and more. To make taco meat, add a packet of taco seasoning (or 2 Tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning) and ¼ cup of water. Mix well before serving.

I love making ground beef in the air fryer basket. It drains the grease and fat as the meat is cooking and you don’t need a separate bowl or strainer because the basket does all of the work for you. Win/win!

Variations

Since this recipe is just one easy ingredient, this isn’t a ton of variation that you can do with that. I’ve used frozen ground beef and fresh ground meat mixture for this recipe, and it comes out perfectly every time. (I just make sure that I’ve thawed ground beef before adding it to the air fryer!)

You can also make this a variety of your favorite recipes by using the cooked beef for different recipes.

How to Serve

Once the cooking process is done with the lean ground beef, it’s time to think about all the ways that you can serve it. You can make so many new recipes with just one batch!

I love using the meat to make air fryer tacos, and air fryer stuffed peppers, and even loose meat sloppy joes! Cooking the meat is a great idea for an easy weeknight meal and can be paired with so many food groups.

How to Store

Leftover ground beef is easy to store! Just let the cooked meat cool down all the way, and then store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. For the best results, use within 2-3 days.

Common Questions

What condiments and ingredients pair well with cooked ground beef?

There are so many condiments and ingredients that can be used! Plain Greek yogurt or sour cream is great for tacos, and let’s not forget that you can easily season browned beef with garlic powder and onion powder, too.

If you want to dice up some bell peppers and onions and toss them with the mix, that is perfect for adding a little bit of health!

Don’t forget that you can add black pepper and chili powder to add some spice, too! If you’re looking for the easiest way to add flavor, BBQ sauce is great, too!

What side dishes pair well with ground beef?

I’m always about having french fries as a side dish! No matter whatever air fryer beef recipe you’re going to make after cooking ground beef, you can easily pair just about anything with it.

Anything that is great time-savers, like side salads and steamed veggies, works great as well.
