Air Fryer Boneless Wings are the best way to enjoy crispy chicken wings! If you're a fan of boneless buffalo wings, you will love this air frying method. All you need is your favorite sauce, and you're set.
I love how the hot air does a perfect job of cooking delicious wings. Not only does this recipe make it simple to feed a crowd on game day, but it's an easy way to stop deep frying wings and air fry them instead.
The cooking time is also awesome because it's fast! That means I don't have to wait very long to enjoy these delicious boneless chicken bites!

Ingredients
- Chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
- Eggs
- Flour
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Ground black pepper
- Onion powder
- Paprika
- Sea salt
- Avocado oil spray (I use La Tourangelle. 100% pure oil, non-aerosol)
Step-by-Step Instructions to make Boneless Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer
- Rinse and dry chicken breasts. Cut each chicken breast into 2-inch cubes. Set aside. Whisk the eggs together in a small bowl. Add flour to a small plate.
- Combine the panko breadcrumbs and seasonings on a small plate.
- Take chicken pieces and dip them into the flour, then into the egg, and then into the seasoned breadcrumbs, covering each piece of chicken.
- Add the seasoned coated chicken to the air fryer basket in an even layer, keeping space between the chicken.
- Spray the chicken wings with a light coat of avocado oil.
- Air fry the chicken at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-17 minutes, tossing the wings halfway through.
- Toss the wings in your favorite wing sauce and serve.
NOTE: I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. air fryer or 6.8 quart air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages, cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.
OPTIONAL: You can also serve these wings breaded with a side of sauce if you don't want to cover them in the sauce. I'll do this when the younger kiddos would rather dip their boneless wings in the sauce versus being covered in the sauce.
Sauce: Top with your favorite homemade wing sauce or brand of sauce. I love to use buffalo sauce, but you can change it up!
Variations
Change the sauce - I'm a big fan of spicy wings and hot sauce, but you can easily use honey mustard sauce, barbecue sauce, honey sriracha sauce for a bit of sweet and spicy, or even honey BBQ sauce, too! You can also add different seasonings to this delicious snack as well.
Use a different cut of chicken - If you want to make chicken nuggets this way, do so! You can also use this recipe for cooking frozen chicken wings to create delicious boneless chicken wings.
How to Serve
Dish up a serving size on a plate, and don't forget to add your favorite dipping sauce. Add some parmesan cheese to the top of the chicken, and then add carrot sticks and celery sticks to the plate, too. Ranch dressing and blue cheese are also great additions and a great way to add more flavor.
How to Store
If you have leftovers, let the chicken cool down completely and then store them in the fridge for the best results. When it's time to eat and reheat, just add them back to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook until the chicken is heated all the way through. Reheating wings in the air fryer always makes them taste fresh and new.
FAQs
How do I get the chicken pieces out of the air fryer basket?
The best way to remove chicken is to use tongs. That way, you don't have to get your hands close, and you won't get burnt.
You can also remove the air fryer basket section using the handle, and just dump the wings out onto a paper towel to soak up any excess grease or liquid.
How do I know that the chicken is cooked all the way?
You want to cook the chicken until it's golden brown, and also make sure that the internal temperature of the chicken is at least 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer and test it before assuming!
