Air Fryer Pita Pizza is one of my favorite go-to meals when I need something quick, easy, and delicious. With just a few ingredients and a few minutes, you get a perfectly crispy crust and melty cheese every time.

This easy recipe is great for busy weeknights, quick lunches, or a fun DIY pizza night with the family. Pita bread makes the perfect base for a mini-pizza. The kids love making their own and it crisps up beautifully in the air fryer and it can hold all of their favorite toppings.

I usually keep pita bread in the freezer for nights where I need a quick meal in a pinch, or for when I have a pizza craving. No need to roll out pizza dough or heat up an oven. It really is one of the fastest and easiest ways to make pizza!

Ingredients You Will Need

Ingredients needed to make air fryer pita pizza on a marble table.
  • pita bread- White, whole wheat, or even gluten-free.
  • pizza sauce- Store bought pizza sauce makes this simple pizza recipe fast and easy. You can also use marinara sauce too!
  • shredded mozzarella cheese- This is going to give your pizza the yummy cheese flavor.
  • Toppings of your choice- Let everyone pick their favorite to make them individual. I like to put out small bowls of red onion, Pepperoni, olives, ham and pineapple, bell peppers, mushrooms,  or cooked sausage.
  • Olive oil spray (optional)- Helps the crust get extra crispy.

FAQs

Can I use naan or flatbread instead of pita?

Absolutely! Just follow the same instructions and adjust cooking time slightly if needed. Because other bread may be thinner, keep in mind you can’t load a bunch of toppings on it. If using a thinner bread, cheese pizza or margherita pizzas are perfect!

Can I make this ahead of time?

You can prep the pizzas and refrigerate for up to a day. Cook just before serving.

How do I store leftovers?

This pizza is always best when you make them fresh. But if you have leftover pita pizza, store it in the refrigerator. Keep it in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap for 3-4 days. When you are ready to eat, just reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 2-3 minutes.
