How to Make Stuffed Clams in the Air Fryer

  1. Open and drain the cans of clams, saving the juice to use later.

  2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.

  3. Next, add the garlic and cook until fragrant – about 30-60 seconds.

  4. Remove the pan from heat and add the clam meat, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, chives, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes,(everything except for the lemon wedges and clam juice).

  5. Season with salt and pepper and combine.

  6. If the mixture is dry, add a teaspoon of clam juice at a time until the mixture will hold together and is slightly wet (it will dry out a bit in the air fryer and you want the stuffing to stay moist).

  7. Using a spoon, fill each half shell with stuffing mixture and arrange stuffed clam shells inside the basket of the air fryer in a single layer – you may need to cook in multiple batches.

  8. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-8 minutes or until the top of the filling starts to crisp and turn brown.

  9. Carefully remove from the air fryer basket (the shells get quite hot).
