This Caprese grilled cheese sandwich is one of my favorite ways to eat Caprese. If you love all things caprese, you might also love this Caprese chicken.

Ingredients:

  • Bread – I used a sourdough bread for this recipe.
  • Butter – Unsalted butter works perfectly!
  • Tomato – I used 2 large heirloom tomatoes.
  • Mozzarella cheese – Sliced.
  • Balsamic glaze – Homemade or store-bought will work.

How to Make a Caprese Grilled Cheese in the Air Fryer

  1. Butter both sides of the bread and place it in a single layer in the basket of the air fryer.

  2. Slice the tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese and alternate them on the top of the bread.

  3. Air fry the caprese grilled cheese at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-9 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and starting to turn golden brown.

  4. Carefully remove the Caprese grilled cheese from the air fryer basket and top with balsamic glaze and fresh chopped parsley.

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients 

  • 2 pieces sourdough bread
  • 1 Tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 1 large tomato, Heirloom
  • 1 mozzarella, ball, sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon balsalmic glaze
