Variations

Change the seasoning – You can easily use Italian seasoning in this recipe to get those pizza flavors that you’re looking for. Adding garlic powder is a great idea, too!

Use different types of pasta – There is no wrong pasta to add! You can use penne pasta, bow tie pasta, or even egg noodles to make this pizza pasta casserole recipe. As long as you cook pasta the right way, you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Add meat – If you want to add more of your family’s favorite toppings, a meat mixture addition can be a great idea. Just be sure that you cook the meat completely first before adding it to this easy dinner idea.

Some options to add could be ground beef, turkey pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground turkey, turkey sausage, ground chicken, or even ground sausage. And if you don’t want to add the meat to this pizza pasta recipe, you can easily add it right on top once you are ready to serve.

How to Serve

Speaking of serving delicious recipes like this, it couldn’t be easier to do. Once it’s cooked in the air fryer, you grab a giant wooden spoon, dig in, and serve! You can add it to a plate, bowl, or whatever you prefer.

Don’t forget to top it with some extra cheddar cheese, fresh tomatoes, black olives, and fresh basil!

How to Store

Once you make the full recipe, you’ll love that it makes a great dish that can probably be served the next day as well. This easy recipe needs to be stored in an airtight container after it has cooled down and stored in the fridge until later.

I don’t recommend that you store leftovers in the freezer because freezing and unfreezing pasta can make the pasta have an unpleasant texture.

Common Questions

Can I use tomato sauce in this easy pizza casserole recipe?

If all you have is tomato sauce, add seasonings to give it more flavor. That way, you can give this pizza pasta bake recipe a similar pizza taste rather than having the sauce taste only like a tomato.

What can I serve with this easy dinner?

There are so many sides that you can make that don’t take a lot of time. Make it your new favorite meal by pairing it with a side salad, garlic bread, or even some freshly sliced veggies like green bell peppers, carrots, and celery. The options are endless!
